Novulo offers three programs:
So, when you need more than 50 concurrent users or you don't want to be restricted in deployment, the professional program is the best choice.
License details can be found in the "My Licenses" section of "My Novulo" after logging in to the Novulo website. Licenses can be ordered and renewed from this page.
The trial program includes a 30-day evaluation license for the Novulo Architect and a free Express edition of the Novulo Application Server that has full functionality, but is limited to a maximum of two concurrent users.
Architect models will be deleted if a trial account expires and is not upgraded. In that case, generated applications can still be run indefinitely using the Novulo Application Server (Express edition), but changes to those applications cannot be applied, since the corresponding models are no longer available.
A trial license is limited to a single-user organization, so models created in a trial account are not accessible by colleagues.
Yes, the Novulo Architect is started using a Java web start file, which ensures that you will always be running the latest version of the Architect program. Released versions of the Novulo Application Server can be downloaded from the Novulo website. Release notes are available on the Novulo Forum.
Immediately.
Yes, the trial license is valid for 30 days. During that time you can upgrade to a regular license and keep the models that are currently in your trial account. Models are automatically deleted once a trial license expires without an upgrade.
When your Novulo Architect license expires, you will no longer be able to open your application models; models are deleted after a trial license expires.
Applications generated from those models can still be run using the Novulo Application Server, as long as you have a valid license for the application server. The Express edition of the Novulo Application Server will allow you to run the application indefinitely, free of charge, but limited to two concurrent users.
When applying for a business or professional license, you can request to be linked to an existing organization. After validation from someone from that organization, you can access all organization models. Trial accounts are limited to single-user organizations only.
The Novulo Architect is offered as a service, which includes maintenance, updates, and backups.
Trial accounts provide 30 days of free access to all features of the Novulo Architect and are limited to one account per email address. To continue to use the models you created in your trial account, you need to upgrade.
Each trial account is locked to a single (new) organization. Business and Professional licensing programs allow access to all organization models, allowing you to use the models from any account linked to the same organization. When upgrading an active trial account, you can continue to use the models created in the trial period.
Generated code can be obtained from your repository and may be run on any server meeting the minimum requirements. You can host applications on your own hardware.
The number of concurrent users indicates the number of people logged in to the application at the same time. The trial program allows two users to use an application simultaneously while denying access to the third user, indicating that the maximum number of simultaneous users has been reached. The Professional program provides an unlimited license for the Novulo Application Server, granting unrestricted access to any number of simultaneous users.
Yes, you can deactivate a license using the "My licenses" section of the Novulo website and re-activate your license from the new server. From that moment the application will no longer be accessible on the old server.
Yes, access to all application specific source code is available. However, a Novulo application will require a Novulo Application Server to run correctly. The Novulo Applications is closed source but does not contain any application-specific components.
You can redistribute the Novulo Application Server on any server meeting the minimum requirements without restriction.
Yes, even with the professional program, you can download licenses with restrictions in time and/or maximum concurrent users to facilitate distribution to third parties or end-users.
Licenses are ordered and invoiced for a fixed period, but can be de- / reactivated at any time (for example to transfer systems to another server).
That is up to you. For each license, you can set your preference to renew automatically or manually. When the renewal could not be applied automatically or when you set it to renew not automatically, you will receive a warning when logging in to the application three weeks before expiration and receive an email on the email address used for the Architect account.
Yes, since the application is a C# .NET application and you have access to the source code, you can even maintain the application without the Novulo Architect. Of course, if you're not using the Architect, you're not benefiting its great advantages.
