Novulo Architect
The modeling tool is a Java WebStart application. To run the Novulo Architect, you only need Java Runtime Environment 6 and an internet connection.

Code Repository
To deploy your application, and for the case you want to integrate custom code into the application, you are strongly advised to use a code repository. The Novulo Architect integrates with Subversion and Microsoft Visual SourceSafe.

Databases
Novulo applications run on any native SQL database. By default, it will use Microsoft SQL Server (version 2005 or higher). The Express Editions meet the minimum requirements.

Deployment
To deploy a Novulo application, a Windows server with IIS (version 6 or higher), ASP 2.0, and the .NET Framework version 3.5 are required.

Custom development
For custom development, we recommend Microsoft Visual Studio. The free Visual Web Developer Express editions will suffice in most cases. Applications are coded in C# and therefore integrate with all .NET languages.

Novulo Architect requires Java Web Start and Java Runtime Environment version 1.6.0 or higher. Web Start is included only in the 32-bit versions of the JRE. This version can be installed side by side with the 64-bit version on 64-bit systems.
