Welcome to the Novulo Library. Novulo is a new concept of software development which enables one to design .NET web applications from the end-user’s perspective. With Novulo one can visually design an application instead of writing libraries full of pages with specifications and requirements. This model is automatically transformed into a running .NET web application that leverages the latest AJAX technologies.
Novulo consists of two major components; the Novulo Architect and the Novulo Application Server. The Architect is a modeling environment which makes it easy to model software from the end user’s perspective. Using the Architect one can build an application by dragging and dropping pages and user interface elements. With a single click the Architect deploys an application, immediately ready for usage, on a web server or in an application repository.

The Novulo Application Server is the engine powering all Novulo applications. A model created in the Architect is transformed into a .NET application that runs on top of the Application Server. The Application Server handles data storage and retrieval, authentication and provides access to services such as document generation and comprehensive rights management. The Novulo Application Server also incorporates a powerful expression language which lets one query and filter data regardless of their source (e.g. SQL, web service). It also hides the underlying implementation details by supplying a Data Abstraction Layer so one does not have to worry where the data comes from or needs to be moved to. Novulo helps business analysts and end-users in building the software they need by modeling the application in a way that all involved parties can understand. The Novulo Architect helps developers with quickly developing software using the latest model driven technologies, but also enables developers to easily integrate their own .NET code and connect it to their existing IT infrastructure.
